#Johanniskirche (St. John's Church) in #Magdeburg for #MonochromeMonday. The church was first mentioned in 941 when Otto The Great donated it to monks. In 1524, Martin Luther preached here, and the church (as well as the city) converted to Protestantism. The church was destroyed and rebuilt several times over the course of the centuries, which led to a mix of architectural styles. Rededicated in 1999, it now hosts cultural events rather than church services.

Farbfotografie einer idyllischen, alpinen Herbstlandschaft am Ufer eines ruhigen Teiches.

Im unteren Teil des Bildes liegt eine dunkle, spiegelglatte Wasseroberfläche, die die darüberliegende Szene detailreich reflektiert.

Das Ufer ist eine gepflegte, grüne Rasenfläche. Darauf stehen mehrere Bänke, eine Picknickbank und zwei moderne, graue Holzliegen, die zum Verweilen einladen.

Hinter der Uferzone dominieren drei Laubbäume mit leuchtend gelbem und goldbraunem Herbstlaub. Diese leuchtenden Farben kontrastieren stark mit dem dahinterliegenden, dichten und dunklen Nadelwald, der den gesamten Hintergrund ausfüllt.

Das Licht ist weich und leicht gedämpft. Die Herbstbäume werden von der Sonne angestrahlt, während der See und der Nadelwald in tiefen Schatten liegen.

Eine ruhige, tiefblaue Wasserfläche dominiert das Bild, welche eine fast perfekte Spiegelung der Umgebung erzeugt. Im Zentrum des Wassers befindet sich eine kleine, bewaldete Insel. Die Bäume auf der Insel zeigen leuchtende Herbstfarben, von sattem Gelb bis zu Goldbraun, mit einer höheren, dunkleren Tanne in der Mitte. Das Wasser spiegelt diese Inselstruktur fast spiegelbildlich wider.

Im oberen linken Bereich ragt eine Uferlinie ins Wasser hinein. Dieses Land ist grösstenteils mit hellem, gelb-grünem Gras bedeckt, das an der Kante von dunkleren, runden Laubbäumen gesäumt wird. Auch diese Uferlinie und die Bäume spiegeln sich intensiv im ruhigen Wasser.

Der Himmel, der sich im Wasser spiegelt, erscheint in einem klaren, hellen Blau, was dem gesamten Bild eine sehr intensive Farbsättigung verleiht. Rechts auf dem Wasser ist ein kleiner, orangeroter Bojen- oder Markierungsgegenstand sichtbar. Das Licht scheint stark zu sein, was die Farben der Vegetation hervorhebt und die Reflexionen
