This was a fast one. Last night I designed a small 2 layer #GPIO stacking header board for the #RaspberryPi that will be used in my #NeXTcube mini to provide a power and activity LED. It's in production at #JLCPCB already.

Which plugs and sockets would you use if you wanted to route 6 pins from the #GPIO port of a #RaspberryPi, which is located in a housing, to another housing? Off the top of my head, I can only think of a 6-pin DIN plug/socket.

Are there any others?

I was applying for a lil Art show that goes in conjunction with a Texas glass conference I am presenting at later this year when I realized that I dont actually have any edited photos of the Big Cobalt Sunset Eclipse Sphere I made last year.

A few minutes in GIMP fixed that. Here are two that make it look a little rounder than it really is.

Doubtful that they will have the shipping budget... but also doubtful that they will be able to find something quite like it. Who knows, a Fort Worth business might really like it? The piece is inspired by the eclipse that want through there last year... and those beautiful Texas Sunsets.

Is it just me or is every demo/overview of the #FlipperZero extremely unimpressive (especially those for a mainstream audience).

I regretfully watched one such video earlier and one of the features highlighted was the ability to copy TV remote signals :blobcatgoogly2: ...I get it was aimed at a non-technical audience but I literally had a watch that could do that when I was a kid and to this day grandparents around the world have universal remotes with this capability...

So I want to put it out there to the #infosec community - where are the cool flipper zero #projects? And I don't mean installing #DOOM or some other quirky play thing. I want to see legit #RF #hacking, or at least using the #GPIO!

Может ли Orange PI 5 Plus с 32 ГБ памяти заменить домашний/офисный ПК?

Производительность ARM процессоров каждый год увеличивается и все ближе приближается к x86 процессорам. Компания Apple давно отказалась от процессоров Intel в пользу процессоров собственной разработки на ARM архитектуре. Но домашний/офисный ПК это не только процессор, но и софт, драйвера, и подключение любых устройств из коробки. Компания Shenzhen Xunlong Software вначале 2023 г. выпустила одноплатный компьютер Orange PI 5 Plus на базе высокопроизводительного процессора Rockchip RK3588 с 32 ГБ ОЗУ и возможностью подключения NVMe SSD дисков. По техническим характеристикам такой одноплатный компьютер сопоставим с домашним/офисным ПК. Проверим на сколько комфортно работать за таким одноплатником, смотреть YouTube, видео, и конечно же поиграем, установим Steam от Valve. Но самое главное оценим работу системы «из коробки» т.е. без танцев с бубном. Вначале рассмотрим характеристики Orange PI 5 Plus, затем процессор Rockchip RK3588, установку и настройку системы, подключение периферийных устройств, и посмотрим, на сколько хорош Linux на ARM для домашнего использования. В итоге рассмотрим какие существуют преграды замены текущих x86 систем на ARM.

Almost have my DIY external #RGBWW #LED strip working for holiday lights. Worked for several hours today, but sometimes the controller signal starts to go nuts, causing the lights to go haywire for a bit.

I'm using a #raspberry pi #pico #GPIO and a level shifter to feed a sp901e to distribute the 24v. Pico is powered over USB, with the pico Vusb out powering the level shifter... Then the output signal goes into the data pin of the sp901e.

No idea what I'm doing wrong. Maybe noise?

If you have installed #wiringpi from #github* , add the option "-static" to the ''gcc' command.
If you compile with the dynamic libraries, you are likely to get the message:

ops: Unable to determine board revision from /proc/device-tree/system/linux,r
evision
or from /proc/cpuinfo
-> No "Hardware" line
-> You'd best google the error to find out why.

GPIO STM32, альтернативный вариант

Когда в 2011 году я переходил c atmega8 на stm32, меня очень вдохновил проект opencm3. Но вдохновил не на его изучение, а на написание похожего. На сегодня в моём варианте почти библиотеки есть макросы регистров для микроконтроллеров серий stm32f10x и stm32f40x, stm8s003, nrf51, nrf52, rp2040, и cc2640/1310. Реально же протестирована из этого списка только stm32f103. Кроме регистров для 103-й я написал базовые функции для включения/выключения тактирования периферии и управления портами ввода-вывода. А также написаны примеры для USB профилей HID gamepad, HID keyboard и USB serial port. В этом же посте задокументирую функции портов и тактирования. документация к c-шникам

A friend of mine made a board to upgrade the uConsole, expanding the GPIO and unused USB with i2c headers and a USB2 hub.

It connects to the 40-pin, 0.5mm pitch GPIO FFC/FPC connector, as well as being soldered to the unallocated USB4 pads. It splits out 3.3V I2C, providing a Qwiic connector (JST-SH) and soldering headers, and also provides a GL850-based USB2 Hub, the 4 ports accessible by soldering headers.

Bu yeni fan hiç durmadan sürekli çalışacağı için, acaba daha yavaş ve sessiz olarak 3V ile çalıştırsam olur mu diye düşündüm.

Fakat o da ne!

Paspberry Pi 5'in 40'lı GPIO pimlerinde (erkek oldukları için "pin" değil "pim" oluyor kendileri ツ) 3V ve GND pimleri yan yana konmamış!

Konmadığı için JST-RCY Batarya Konektörleri 3V bağlantı için kullanılamıyor!

En yakın GND (Ground/Toprak) çaprazında, uzakta kalıyor!

İşte bu beni şaşırttı!

Fakat fan güç konnektörü Raspberry Pi 5 Aktif Soğutucu tarafından kullanılacağı için diğer fana voltajı GPIO pimlerinden almak gerekecek.

Bende dişili erkekli JST-RCY Batarya Konektörlerinden vardı, ve 5V ile çalışan fan için 5V ve GND pimleri çok uygun yan yana bulunuyor.

Eeee! Sorun ne o zaman?
